#41 WW The Triple Fold Card - by Lisa Shaw

Welcome to Creative Minds Kind Hearts’

41st Wednesday Wonder - the Triple Fold Card

By Lisa Shaw

This week sees what is possibly one of the easiest folds you will ever make, yet it is very effective once finished.

I have used an old Craftwork Cards set of papers called Countryside to decorate this card. The template below should enable you to make this card using basic cutting and measuring tools, with possibly a die or two for the embellishment.

You should be able to see here that I decorated the first two sections with the same papers, the third & fourth with another pattern and the last section with a third paper. Remember there is no hard and fast rule for this - you may want to use the same paper on each section, or five different papers - the choice is yours.

For matting and layering, I make my mat 1/4” smaller than the base card and my layer 1/4” smaller than my mat, which gives 1/8” border. This, again, can be changed if you wish to have a wider border.

For the decoration I used some square nesting dies, the smallest being 1 3/8” to the largest at 2 3/8”

To finish the card off, I mat & layered papers on the reverse of the card and used a Woodware sentiment stamp.

I hope that this will give you the inspiration to make a card in this style.
